Heather Hering-Brown
Founder & Executive Officer, WICFA
Heather Hering-Brown is a builder, designer, and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience in residential construction and design. As the founder of Innovative Custom Homes, Innovative Drafting & Design, and Innovative Building Products, she has built her career around identifying gaps in the industry—particularly in insulated concrete form (ICF) construction—and developing solutions that support builders, designers, and suppliers.
Her work spans hundreds of residential projects across the country, with a focus on efficiency, performance, and buildability. Heather has also served in multiple leadership roles, including President of the Idaho Home Builders Association, and remains actively involved with the National Association of Home Builders.
As Founder and Executive Officer of WICFA, Heather oversees the organization’s management and operations, working closely with the Board of Directors and industry partners to advance WICFA’s mission through education, collaboration, and advocacy.
Trevor Brown
Co-Founder & Industry Relations Lead, WICFA
Trevor Brown is an entrepreneur and industry leader dedicated to advancing the growth and adoption of insulated concrete form (ICF) construction. As co-founder and host of the Build With ICF Podcast and a driving force behind multiple distribution and product initiatives, Trevor has played a key role in expanding market awareness and accessibility of ICF systems across the United States.
With a strong background in sales, distribution, and business development, Trevor specializes in building strategic partnerships and connecting manufacturers, distributors, builders, and homeowners across the supply chain.
At WICFA, Trevor serves as a leading voice for the organization, working directly with industry partners, manufacturers, and stakeholders to advance ICF through advocacy, education, and collaboration. His focus is on strengthening relationships across the industry and helping drive long-term growth and alignment.
Aaron King
CEO & Founder, All3 Pools - WICFA Board Member
Aaron King is a builder and innovator specializing in insulated concrete form (ICF) construction, with a focus on advancing techniques within the pool industry. Since first working with ICF in 2013–2014, he has completed more than 100 ICF pool projects across the Midwest and Gulf Coast, helping to expand the application of ICF beyond traditional construction.
Aaron is recognized as a pioneer in monopour ICF pool construction, leading the development of efficient and high-performance building methods. His portfolio includes signature projects such as the Condor Infinity Edge Pool, Shaw Hollow Infinity-Edge Pool, and Dauphin Island Beach Pool.
His work has received multiple top honors from ICF Builder Magazine and the People’s Choice Award at the World of Concrete. Through his projects and educational content, Aaron continues to share knowledge and drive innovation within the ICF industry.
Robert Klob
Founder, Robert Klob Designs - WICFA Board Member
Robert is a Certified Professional Building Designer and President of Robert Klob Designs, Inc., an award-winning residential design firm based in Arizona. With more than 35 years of experience, he has designed and consulted on projects across 32 states and 14 countries, including nearly 500 Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) structures.
A recognized leader in high-performance residential design, Robert currently serves as Chairman of the Planning & Zoning Commission for both Pinal County and the City of Maricopa, Arizona, and acts as an architectural consultant to multiple community associations. He contributed to the development of the Above Ground Concrete Wall Code and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, events, and webinars, where he educates professionals on ICF design.
Robert has served on numerous industry boards and committees and leads one of the largest online ICF communities, administering several Facebook groups with a combined membership of nearly 50,000.
Outside of his professional work, Robert enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and being a proud husband, father, and grandfather.
Marty McCartney
Technical Specialist - WICFA Board Member
Marty is an ICF Specialist with nearly 50 years of construction experience, including more than 25 years focused on the Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) industry. He provides professional training and technical support to contractors, builders, and companies, helping improve construction practices, system performance, and overall project outcomes.
Known for his hands-on experience and technical expertise, Marty is a trusted resource for practical solutions and field-driven guidance across the ICF industry. He actively supports the mission of the World Insulated Concrete Form Association (WICFA) through education, collaboration, and advocacy, contributing his knowledge to help strengthen and advance the global ICF community.
Craig Shorts
President, Summit Publishing, LLC - WICFA Board Member
Craig Shorts is a seasoned media and publishing professional with more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, and industry communications. As President and co-founder of Summit Publishing, LLC, Craig played a key role in launching ICF Builder and Waterproof! magazines, both of which have become leading publications within the construction industry.
Through his work, Craig has helped elevate awareness and education within the ICF and waterproofing sectors, connecting manufacturers, builders, and industry professionals through targeted media and content. His career is marked by national recognition for sales excellence and a long-standing commitment to supporting industry growth.
Craig earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising with a minor in Business from Brigham Young University. He resides in Mapleton, Utah with his family.
